The Strokes, last festival's most hyped band who ended up being elevated to the Main Stage, this year are set to co-headline the Main Stage in both Reading and Leeds, said to be the only time they'll be in the UK for the rest of this year.
Pulp are the Reading co-headliners for Friday (23rd) and Leeds on Saturday (24th) The White Stripes and Weezer have also been confirmed to appear on those days. The Streets, Black Rebel Motorcycle Club and Spiritualized are also to make appearances.
Old, yet big, bands Guns 'N Roses and Jane's Addiction both make an appearance, with G'n'R only co-headlining Leeds on Friday 23rd, no Reading show for Axl & co. Also, Braintree boys Prodigy play their first UK shows in four years, co-headlining Leeds on Friday 23rd and Reading on Sunday 25th.
Everyone's favorite happy rock band the Foo Fighters headline Reading on Saturday 24th and Leeds on Sunday 25th with Muse's only UK shows this year, greatest hits planning Ash, Sum 41, look, English guys can rock too A, Less Than Jake, Puddle of Mudd, Hundred Reasons and dirty white t-shirt rocker Andrew WK.
Other notable bands include The Dandy Warhols, Mercury Rev, The Offspring (Reading only), and quite big you know Slipknot, NOFX and Incubus. As ever on a 2 site, 3 day festival, there are further bands to be announced.
Tickets are £90 for the weekend, including camping and parking, with single day tickets at £39 (both plus booking fees)
