Maintaining a recent obsession with putting on gigs in exotic locales, British Sea Power will head to Canvey Island this week.
The band will be at the Monico Hotel on the Essex island this Thursday, the 7th of February, to record a performance for BBC2’s the Culture Show.
Tickets giving entry to the 200-capacity venue went on sale today (5 Feb) at a price of £15. Get them here but please note that the show will be an early one with doors thrust open at 7pm and the band appearing onstage at 8.30pm.
The night's being hosted by Canvey Island FC, linking in with the way the BSP song ‘Canvey Island’ refers to football records lost in the Canvey flood of 1953.
Other than that, British Sea Power will appear on Later… with Jools Holland this Friday (8 Feb), alongside Morrissey, Ida Maria and Cape Verdean singer Mayra Andrade.
