DiS would like you to show your support and you may very well be rewarded with some very-very-very special guests if rumours are to be believed...
Following the severe flooding of the village of Steventon, Oxfordshire, Truck Festival was last weekend postponed until September 22nd/23rd. This act of God meant that the sold out festival has lost money, which means the festival won't be able to donate to charity this year. However, a collaboration between artists, managers and passionate individuals have got together to pull in some favours for a special one-off benefit event.
Already confirmed for this intimate show on Friday July 27th at Hoxton Bar & Kitchen in London's grotty East End is Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly (who was last seen headlining The Forum!?), a DJ-set from Mystery Jets and bleep-beat-poet George Pringle (myspace). Plus, we hear the billed "extra-extra special guests" are comprised of "chart-botherers".
Tickets are £10 and available from wegottickets.com
Please note: All bands and artists are playing for free. All proceeds are going to the Truck Foundation and to ensure the future of one of the most unique and exciting not-for-profit festivals in the world.
DiScuss: Who do you guess the guests will be?
