Polish off your novelty Stetson and bring out your flashy-berry e-mail gadgets that make you think you're a Jetson, as it's that time of year again. The time when music biz troublemakers and alcoholic rock scribes descend on the world's live music capital: Austin, Texas.
This year, South by Southwest promises to be much the same as any other year, with the two Bs in full affect: a lot of Bands, plenty o’ Booze, and attendees desperately chasing wristbands for parties with free Booze and Bands! This year, DiS has decided to throw a party of our own while we’re in town, with some bands we really rather like.
DrownedinSound.com has teamed up British Music and Austin Technology Council at SXSW to present an event simply titled Tea for Texas. It's on Thursday afternoon, starts at 3pm and we'll kick you out onto the street at six in the evening. It's at Latitude 30, 152 San Jacinto Blvd, and is – due to capacity limitations – an invite-only event. Do, however, try your luck by RSVPing to Yanette.Jimenez@fco.gov.uk.
Performing live we have:
