Jack Peñate: jacks in the day job for massive tour
Mike_Diver by Mike Diver February 28th, 2007

Recent XL signing Jack Peñate - whose 'Second, Minute Or Hour' was heard on the last DiS podcast no less (download here) - is heading out on a frankly massive tour in a matter of days.

The 22-year-old singer/songwriter sort - that's him pictured! - is much-tipped for the year, by many a shady insider. He's set to release an five-track EP via XL soon, but get yourself along to one of these dates to get ahead of the pack:

March
2 Southend Chinnerys
3 Southampton Lennons
4 Hastings Brass Monkeys
6 Hertford Marquee
7 Northampton Soundhaus
9 Winchester Railway
10 Tunbridge Wells Forum
11 Swindon Brunel Rooms
24 Bedford Esquires
25 Peterborough Met Lounge
27 York Fibbers
28 Nottingham Social
29 Preston 53 Degrees
30 Birmingham Barfly
31 Wakefield Escobar

April
2 Brighton Engine Room
3 Bristol Louisiana
4 Reading Fez
5 Norwich Arts Centre
6 Cambridge Soul Tree
7 Leeds Cockpit
9 Aberdeen Tunnels
10 Glasgow Nice and Sleazy's
11 Newcastle Cluny
12 Sheffield The Plug
14 Derby Victoria Inn
15 Hull Adelphi
16 Manchester Night & Day
17 Birmingham Bar Academy
18 London ICA
21 Cardiff Barfly
22 Oxford Zodiac
23 Leicester Sumo

That's a lot of shows. Yup.
