Fight! Reznor and Manson join the Club
dprice by Dale Price July 18th, 2001
Chuck Palahniuk, author of DIS favourite Fight Club, has announced that Nine Inch Nails frontman Trent Reznor keenly approached him to work on the soundtrack to the film adaptation of his second novel, Survivor. Natch.

Speaking at a recent book signing, Palahniuk shed new light on the film. Apparently, the follow-up to Brad Pitt vehicle Fight Club has raised interest from Madonna and Nicole Kidman for the female lead, as well as Reznor for the tunes, and once again Fox will handle production.

He also mentioned that one of Trent's good friends, a certain Brian Warner (Marilyn Manson to his chums), will more than likely handle the audiobook version of Survivor. Double natch.

Manson's no stranger to Palahniuk - throughout promotion duties for the Holy Wood album, he frequently name-checked the author, in particular his book Invisible Monsters.

What's more, there's another book to come... and how's this for completing a circle. Forthcoming horror novel Lullaby, claims Chuck, was heavily inspired by listening to Nine Inch Nails' Fixed EP on repeat. Yummy.
