...for you Nottingham folk this Saturday.
The city's final DrownedinSound show of 2006 takes place at Junktion 7 this Saturday (December 9th) and is a bumper event featuring five of our favourite new bands of the past twelve months.
Check 'em out, here...
COMPUTERMAN (pictured) - "One great adrenaline rush with storming tunes" (Atomic Duster)
THE SCREENING - "What the second Cooper Temple Clause album could have sounded like if they'd carried on writing tunes" (DrownedinSound.com)
TWENTYSIXFEET - "...the soundtrack to your greatest nightmare or, at worst, a simulated ride through the synapses of a schizophrenic." (DrownedinSound.com)
POLAR - "Polar combine mechanised guitar noise, melodic piano and distinctive vocals, demonstrating a wide range of influences, from Radiohead and Interpol through to Sigur Rós." (BBC Leeds)
EXIT CALM - "towering space indie with a dub groove" (ManchesterMusic.co.uk)
There will also be DJ Sets from Rich (Immune), Dave (The Exploits Of Elaine/Good Name For A Racehorse) and The Thirty5, as well as the Drowned-In-Soundsystem.
There are still a handful of advance tickets remaining at £4 each from Nottingham_DiS@yahoo.co.uk. Entry on the night costs £5 with NUS or a flyer, and £6 without.
Doors open at 8pm.
