The media regulator made the decision to ban the ads from television and radio yesterday, stating that they delivered a political message and therefore were not allowed under the regulations of the 2003 Communications Act.
The ads featured a number of stars from stage, screen and the music world - Justin Timberlake, Kylie Minogue, Bryan Adams, Bono, Kanye West and many, many more across different territories - simply clicking their fingers once every three seconds. They received not a single complaint from viewers.
