The belated word from the midweeks is that singles chart titan Sir James of Blunt will be toppled from his summit by pop-punk urchins McFly. Woooot...
'I'll Be Okay', the quartet's latest, is outselling Blunt's smashit by more than one to one. Which is A Good Thing, FACT.
Babyshambles are likely to make the Top 5 with 'Fuck Forever', even though it's basically as awful as Blunt's hangaround effort. Boo hiss to you, Doherty megafans. Justin Hawkins' British Whale thing is likely to crash into the Top 10 with 'This Town Ain't Big Enough For The Both Of Us'.
Don't expect Blunt to shift from the top of the album chart, though; there are a lot of sad fortysomethings out there that neeeeed that emotional nourishment.
