Coming to a cinema near you? Juana Molina and Fionn Regan hit the road
benmarwood by ben marwood August 2nd, 2006

Super solo-artists Juana Molina and Fionn Regan are to join forces for a short tour this month, taking in some Picturehouses along the way.

Argentinian songstress Molina headlines the shows, her first since cancelling her April mini-tour after tendonitis in her shoulder left her unable to pick up the guitar. Molina's really-quite-good fourth album Son was released on Domino Records back in June.

Support for the tour has been confirmed as recent Bella Union signing Fionn Regan, whose debut album The End of History not only mixes Bright Eyes' songwriting with a delivery somewhere between Ed Harcourt and Ben Kweller, but is also home to 'Put A Penny In The Slot', one of the best songs you'll probably never hear. Those dates in full:

August
16 London Luminaire (Fionn Regan only)
17 Brighton Duke of York Picturehouse
19 Oxford Phoenix Picturehouse
21 London Greenwich Picturehouse
23 London Brixton Ritzy Picturehouse
27 Norwich Arts Centre
30 Nottingham The Social (Juana Molina only)

Both acts also play the sold-out Green Man Festival.
