List of things to take on tour, from left to right:
1) Polaroid sx-70
It's hard to find the film for it these days, but not much looks better than an sx-70 polaroid...
2) Ear plugs
The older I get, I'm increasingly concerned about my hearing...I couldn't find an image of the amazing westones I wear now for practicing and on stage but any ear plugs come in handy, as you never know who you might end up rooming with on tour, and depending on how much certain people drink, depends on how loudly they snore (I am a culprit, I freely admit...)
3) Opinel pocket knife
My good friend Polly gave me one for my 30th birthday, it's so very useful-especially for cutting off festival wristbands...
4) iPad...
A bit wanky, but it's light and small, and that's the main thing for tour...especially when you have to fly easyjet...
5) Bowers and Wilkins headphones
I'm in love with these headphones- I can't bring myself to walk around town in them (well, only after dark..) but everything sounds marvelous...
6) Sun Block
In case of too much hanging around in the sun...proves I'm getting old...
7) iPod
Mostly perfect for the van ride back to the hotel or home- I'm allowed as long as i don't play any reggae...boo!
8) Slippers!!!
I couldn't get mine to upload in the photo file, but that's probably good as they look a bit ratty now that my dog has chewed them...but, nothing can make anywhere feel like home as much as a comfortable pair of slippers.
9) Sunglasses
This isn't a photo of mine either, but you get the idea...a must for avoiding eye contact.
10) Nikon F series SLR
I'm trying to go back to using more film - this is a great camera.
11) Sweatbands!
Unfortunately, the life of a drummer involves a lot of perspiration- must have sweatbands.
12) Drumsticks
I like Steve Gadds, made by Vic Firth.. I have to bring a surplus amount, as one never knows where the next music shop might be.
13) Kodak Portra Film.
14) Kind Bars
I've bought a stack over from America, finding healthy/good vegetarian food on tour can be tough. Kind bars stave off bad moods that ensue...
15) Anti-bacterial Hand cleaner
It's tour, it gets gross- especially at festivals and certain venues that will remain nameless....
