Im a big fan of Frank Sinatra. i think his live albums are his best material. I am listening to curren$y and wiz khalifa now also as their killing the underground scene. J cole just entered my playlist also. I really like smooth jazz music from artist such as hiroshima, miles davis, and a plethora of other great smooth jazz artist. i like Santana also. The best of Sade is the all time best album ever created ever!!!. i grew up listening to the clipse when the Neptunes (Star Trek) was really killing the music scene. that was part of the catalyst of me beggining to create music in the first place. i also grew up on alot of New Orleans music. Master P's only God Can Judge me, was a frequent in my house. Mystikal was big in my house hold. Mr Magic Silk Tha Shocker C Murder Soulja Slim and alot of other great artist. My mother was the one that actually turned me onto Lil wayne. The block is hot was the first lil wayne song i was actually put on from weezy. Jay Z was a given in my household. A Jay album released we had it no if ands or buts. Fat Joe's Jealous ones still envy was one of the albums that formed my lyrical attack i guess if thats how i can say it. There was great production and content on that album. Too SHort was a big thing for me when i started looking back in my moms older CD's. Eazy Duz it was another CD that opened up my eyes towards manipulating 808's. Lord Willin was my favorite CD for the longest time ever. Grindin was probably one of the first records everyone learned how to make on the lunch table so that was a freestlye favorit. Commons like water for choclate was an excellent album also along with Talib and Hi Teks album, which the name slips away from me. Nas's Illmatic, stillmatic, Streets disciples and Godson where monumental for their time periods also. i was just amazed at his lyrical versatility and i began trying to incorporate content into my raps after listening to Take it in Blood time and time again. Kanye west's college drop out was just the bee kness. I was listening to Spaceship on repeat for hours at a time then late registration came out and i heard addiction and that replaced space ship. The graduation was more then an album, it was like a Neo Revolution for hip hop. it really defined production meeting Lyricism. Ludacris's back for the firt time was the dopest album i ever heard. I played that entire CD through time after time after time. it was a new sound with great production from Tim and Dre. Get Rich or Die Tryin was also a great album. you had to listen to it because everyone had it. i actually prefered to listen to the 50 cent mixtapes with who kidd and funk master flex instead. Robin thickes evolution of robin thicke was and still remains one of my frequently played albums. it is great all the way through. Rick ross's port of miami was one of the first albums that really gave a kind of visual into that trap life. i never really understood the entire trap movement untill i listened to it but Where's My Money, and Hitcha From The Back were two of the hottest songs on there. Young Dro's Freshmen release was a showcase of lyricism. HE had clas and ridiculous punchlines on that album with some excellent songs. i havent listened to it in a longggg time since my I Pod got taken so i cant really name anything off the top of my head. TI's im serious was my joint. thaat CD had production from the neptunes on there that was historical. That's an album i still have in my houe an i can go directly to it if neccessary. Gucci Manes no pen no pad, chicken talk and bird flu mixtapes where some great mixtapes. these were great because he was putting them out so rapidly. I probably had every gucci mane mixtape out in 2009 on my ipod. the kick push single from lupe fiasco was what made me begin listening to him which would be appropiate because it was his debut single. Daydreaming with jill scott was an excellent video and song. jill scott is a big deal in my household so to see lupe colaborate with her on a hip hop song was a big thing. Notorious BIG is and remains one of my all time favorites. i try to actually use his method of going in the booth without a pen and pad like gucci jay z and lil wayne smoke dza and alot of other artist do. Tupac's so many tears and pain remains my favorites from him. I know tupac for rapping over excellent production. all in all there is a luandry list of artit i listen to but i can urely say i know great music when i hear it!
