Food, beer, F1, music and writing. And good people. Weather. Music-wise, I've been playing since 93, and I love getting my teeth into something new. Learning new techniques and approaches as well because playing music is about more than strum-strum-strum cue applause strum-strum-strum bit more applause. It's about momentum, excitement and the unexpected as well. Otherwise it's formulaic bollocks half the time which can (albeit not always) make it seem like you're more into the self-gratification of playing live, rather than putting effort into keeping the audience onside through the music.

I like to just play and play. My own stuff and other people's. Whatever. As long as it's good. And enjoyable. What would be nice would be to get a band set together that just went from song to song without breaks, the way a dj assembles a set, but with the musicians mixing things up. Playing around with the songs as well is fun, throwing them into different styles, beats, or with different instruments. Been playing gtr since March 93, and bass about the same, and ukulele since Dec 07.
