Goat - World Music
World Music snuck up on me late last year. The work of a Swedish bizarre-collective of psychedelic/blues/world rock revivalists-cum-fusionist-innovators perhaps isn’t my regular cup of tea.
But there’s a power, a furious energy to the way these songs are put together and performed that can’t help but be mystical, epic, dynamic and perhaps more strikingly immensely fun and listenable.
The Technicolor sounds perfectly match the gregarious cover-art throughout, with guitar, bass and drum back and forths of noodling, riffs and rhythmic freak-outs the band’s glorious bread and butter.
I just can’t recommend this record enough. It’s just bloody brilliant.
