Velvet Revolver, Scott Weiland's new Guns N' Roses fronted combo, are coming to the UK for a lager based Carling tour.

The former Stone Temple Pilot will accompany Slash, Duff and Matt Sorum on their first British visit, all good things and drug enforcers willing.
They are playing:

August:
Tue 31st - Carling Academy Glasgow

September:
Wed 1st - Carling Apollo Manchester
Thu 2nd - Carling Apollo Hammersmith

I know its not a good idea to criticise DiS writers here, especially not Raz, but wouldn't "Guns N' Roses new Scott Weiland fronted combo" have made more sense?

But Slash and Duff are obviously the stars innit.

Lager based, I see. Not only are they playing Carling venues, but they also have someone called Duff in the band. Surely an appearance on the Simpsons is long overdue.

they may be not as good as the originals but does that really warrent the abuse that they are currently taking?

i hear kerrang! slated them and so does everybody else.

Why does there always have to be constant comparisons between past and present? granted they are guns and roses mkII but that shouldnt matter.
