P Diddy likes to party. We all know this. So, on July 4th, he celebrated his country's independence from us oiks with a bit of a bash, and invited the likes of hip hop boss-type Russell Simmons and rock-rapper Kid Rock along. Fine so far...
Until they decided to go to the cinema. Upon learning that Diddy's film of choice was to be Michael Moore's Bush-bashing Fahrenheit 9/11, Mr Rock threw his toys out of his pram, and proceeded to rant at Mr Simmons:
"Don't you understand, everything we got in this country, we got from fighting ... I'd rather go to the bar across the street."
And he did. When Simmons emerged from the cinema, he found a sticker on his windscreen: "Vote Bush. Bush Rocks!", in Mr Rock's handwriting.
See...? We couldn't make this up. Next time: Mr Rock runs for governor of some backwards state in the Mid-West. Maybe.

It makes you think...
Bush has Kid Rock as a fan...
The Tories have Jim Davidson in their camp...
and UKIP have Kilroy talking bollocks on their side...
It says a lot about the way these people want this world to go don't you think?
Me, I'm off in another direction... I may not no where I'm going... but any direction is better than that lot!!!

I'm sure this probably breaks some kind of site rules, but hey, if he supports a man who is in favour of vote rigging, then what comes around goes around!
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
i've 0/5'd him.
Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Kid Rock is an idiot, and he certainly knows fuck all about politics. Hoes, drinking and rednecks...perhaps. Never politics...

Let's talk about this situation at hand for a minute. You clowns actually sit here and defend Spongemike Sweatpants, support him so much, that if some sane American has no interest in watching is propaganda, your gonna go rate him low! I am sure Kid Rock is sitting at home reading these ratings, and is now gonna be moved to the Left, out of fear and shame alone!
Waterwings, What exactly do you know about politics? I mean, you sit here and want to blast Kid Rock for what he knows, just because he seems to be supportive of the Conservative Ticket, so please, come tell me, what it is you know about politics. Have you always been a Demotard, or a liberal, or did thios all come about with the newfound support for Gay Marriage?
Clowns, All of you....
Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
This is what i love about right wing arguments, you don't have to do anything to make them look stupid.
"Have you always been a Demotard, or a liberal, or did thios all come about with the newfound support for Gay Marriage?"
WHAT THE FUCK!?!
Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Who cares if Kid likes Bush! At least he's got opinions - he's politically aware! He's passionate about what he believes! How can you fault a person for that? This article has been online for almost two weeks now at a bunch of sites, and never did it say Kid was acting outrageous! He simply was stating his mind - and he's one hell of an American...watch his video clips online when he sang in Baghdad. It's emotional as hell and he's a decent American.
Aside from that, if you haven't listented to Kid's music, you're missing the genius of our time. He and his band TBT put on the best live show you'll ever see, and his range in musical genres is unparalleled...music is innate to him...and all this stuff he does - IT'S AN IMAGE PEOPLE....SHOW BIZ...Bawitaba....get in the pit and just love someone!
Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
>> He has different styles of music all rolled into one. Now if thats not good then I don't know what is.
He's a rap-metal artist with a slide-guitar fetish who talks about barns and stuff sometimes. Wow, genre-hopping eclectic genius there.
And come on. Solid composition? Laudable arrangement? Charismatic performance? Well-crafted production? Surely these things (and more) are what make good music, not carbon-copying two or three stylistic stereotypes?
Personally I couldn't give a crap about his political views. Is it really that surprising or shocking to learn them? If I rate him 0/5 it will be solely because of his woefully shitty music.

Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
As I said, Kid Rock is THEE musical genius of our time, and I'm on a mission to spread the word about the kid. I just think it doesn't help the cause to slam people and their views...perpetuates the world's view of the ugly american....and that's just too bad.
But, this is about the KID and his music! Anyone who slams it has only seen the hype in mags and on tv and hasn't really listened. Their loss.

You know, I came across an alert on KRAA about this site and wanted to post...figured it was the INTERNET...a global community...just because it's based across the pond doesn't mean that's where all the posts come from.
Just listen to some of the new Kid Rock cd...or try Uncle Kracker...or even www.tonycandthetruth.com.
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Have I missed something?
Why are people saying that Kid Rock is good?
Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
fair enough, Internet and all but the majority of users above are from UK.
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
And whilst I wholeheartedly agree that Kid Rock (if indeed that is his real name) has the right to support whoever he chooses in the forthcoming President of the Free World elections, i think the fact he is supporting Bush makes him a complete twat.
Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Yes Mike Diver - Kid Rocks! He's in Europe now, go find him and open your ears and eyes people. Free your mind!!

what do you call invading a country, killing innocent civilians and causing an illegal war(all war is illegal) allin the name of Oil?
just curious...

Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
and didn't Margaret Thatcher (who we think was a woman) get all power hungry and territorial when someone looked at her South Atlantic Islands in a funny way?
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Heh, I see what you did there. Clever.
But, no, he doesn't. At all. You'd have thought his name alone would have alterted Trading Standards.

And, I never said we created or invented freedom! Let's not all get in a snit...just do me a favor, play Black Bobby from the new Kid cd. Or, perhaps play Early Morning Stoned Pimp (With Mr. John Lee Hooker on the track!!) Just humor me. It's always fun to get into new music.

We were well within our rights to kill 'em all.
And sink their battleships.
And rape their sheep.
Maybe.
To be honest I was, like, two years old or something.

Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
If politics isn't simple or black and white, then the differing characteristics of genders sure as hell isn't.
As for giving Kid Rock a listen, i'd rather not. Regardless of his politics, he's absolutely shite. My brother likes him, though. He's also an unashamed bigot, and if he was American, i'm sure he'd be a Republican. I'm sure theres a link here, but i can't spot it.
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Please, please, please tell me you're not going to lump Thatcher in with Blair and Bush just to please your own political agenda. That would be utterly ridiculous, and I think you know it...
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
On that occasion, they brought the party to us.
Which was rude. Somewhat.
BYE.
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Yes, they started it. Doesn't defend some of Thatcher's 'tactics' in the 'war', though.
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Obviously gender differences aren't black and white...sheesh, this is one uptight group of people.
Sorry I came across your site...it was supposed to be all in good fun, but apparently you guys dont get that.
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
how can you possibly even infer that every Iraqi prisoner is a rapist and murderer? Probably because your force-fed that idea by the American media, but thats no excuse at all. If ideas like the one that you espouse above weren't so frightening, they'd be laughable.
This site is normally all about good fun, and when in good fun a campaign was started to try to get Kid Rock's rating down to 0, you invaded to tell us all we were wrong. Who's more uptight?!
Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
I will serve you elsewhere..
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Why is it that from an American point of view anything that isn't ultra-Republican is seen as left wing? It's absurd.
I'll attack Kid Rock's music and political rhetoric until they cow comes home if i choose to, but how you can take that to mean i'm a rabid communist i don't know.

Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
The Fact was, Kid determined he did not want to go see Michale Moore's MOVIE, not Documentary, Michael Moore's Movie....
Then, All of a sudden, these people, started to blast him..
Now, i can respect the fact some of your Brits, might not like Bush, I mean, you get to listen to France, and Germany, and others, and actually care what they think. The Fact however remains, Bush is fighting a fight, that needs to start somewhere, and why not in Iraq, where not only was Saddam a problem, but his soon to be Son's were a bigger problem
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
I'm still waiting on that intelligent communication you promised us morons.
And what Kid Rock goes to the cinema to see, or chooses not to, is entirely up to him. It's when he's advocating voting for Bush that I have a problem with him. Well, that coupled with his entire musical output ever.
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Soon to be, referred to status, but seeing I am dealing with an Imbecile, i should have communicated a little better with you. So I will rephrase it, so you can understand..
Saddam Hussein HAD two sons, who were maniacs, the raped and pillaged, and hated non muslims, especially Americans. They were dangerous young men, but Alas, the Bushmaster had the whacked!
You see....
I do not think you have an idea about his musical output, therefore talking about it with you, is really a waste of time, dont you think? That coupled with the fact, this thread of debates, has nothing to do with his music, its all about Political affiliation...
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Um, unless you're an unborn foetus or about to be adopted, how can "soon to be Son's" refer to anyones status whatsoever?
But what would I know, i'm an Imbecile. Is your keyboard working properly, by the way?
Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
also:
"Just listen to some of the new Kid Rock cd...or try Uncle Kracker...or even www.tonycandthetruth.com."
the last two on that list on on the soundtrack of an Xbox game i have and i'll be damned if that Tony C dude isn't the WORST musician i have ever heard. I'll quote a lyric:
"I'll go on tour in outer space/ and get some Mars and Jupiter stickers for my gee-tar case!"
ahhahahahahahahah!
Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
I was just trying to spread the word about the Kid and his awesome music - and I'd like his MUSIC - which is what this was about - no matter what his political affiliation is.
Re TonyC -Who cares about lyrics - I'm into the sound...how the music makes you feel. It great, gritty rock.
And re tony's comment that my ideas are frightening, you're nuts if you don't think most of the Iraqi prisoners wouldnt have dismembered and raped any non-Muslim had they confronted themo n the street. I'm not talking about decent Iraqi citizens, I'm talking about people filled with hate.
This is a sad, sad site - I was just saying give Kid a chance, but you'd rather just rip him apart without even listening! How open minded is that?
And not that it should matter, but I'm no republican - I'm affiliated with no party - I vote on the issues...not by simple minded, blind party loyalty. Less govt is better.
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Clearly, i'm nuts. Because I don't agree with a word in your fourth paragraph. I find it offensive, quite frankly. But its your right to say it. And my right to disagree.
As for Kid Rock's so-called music, why do you assume that because I don't like it that means I haven't heard it? I've heard more than enough to make a judgement on it, and my judgement is that it is absolute garbage. if you want to listen to it, thats fine. But i don't.
And this wasn't ever about his music. His music doesn't often get discussed on this site, any more. Maybe when he was having a go at cracking the UK market a couple of years ago on the crest of the god-awful Nu-Metal wave it would've been. But we're far too busy arguing about the Pete Doherty to give Kid Rock's music a second thought. This was about him advocating voting for Bush as a direct response to a film he hasn't even seen. i think that was pathetic, wrong, and sad.
Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Anyway, Pete Doherty has a cool raw sound and he's got a hell of a mouth, (What a fuckin waster you pissin it all off the wall)...kind of like the Kid. His music just isn't my bag...and you never bothered to say before that you DID listen to kid. AT least you gave him a chance... So many of you were sayign you wouldnt bother.
My understanding is the Kid may head out to Europe again in the fall. Just give it a shot.
Sorry you find my 4th paragraph above offensive - but if someone is trained as a terrorist, and has a bunch of weapons, and you get to him before he gets to you, how does his status all of a sudden become one of decent, innocent citizen?
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
The chances of me giving Kid Rock a chance if he comes to Europe in the autumn are minute. There aren't enough hours in the day or £s in my pocket for me to check out all the music i do like or think I'd like, let alone go around seeking out music i know i won't.
Anyway, I finish work soon and my feelings on Kid Rock aren't strong enough for me to carry my arguments into my own time, so i sign off with this one.
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Because the War in Iraq is not with the Iraqi Army, as you and the world seen, the Iraqi National Army backed right down when the US and UK stormed Baghdad! The War now is with Terrorists!
Have a nice day!

Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
It's sad, because this really is not even a newsworthy story, but the fact that you clowns, find it as a reason to blast someone, is the only reason I have wasted my time here.
You start taling politics, than you disappear, you start talking about music, than you disappear!
Waste of my time

Comic genius from some of the posters here. By all means get some more illiterate rednecks to post so we can have a laugh at their expense :-p
Kid Rock - rather average rather toe-curling cowboy-themed rap-rock - hardly worth wasting breath slagging or defending him IMHO.

"Don't you understand, everything we got in this country, we got from fighting ... "
Are you proud?
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Alot of you should be proud around the world, because alot of what you got, you got, cause of us fighting!
Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
I haven't come across this story, but its obviously been edited cleverly....though it made me laugh fucking loads.
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
I just wanted to say how impressed I was by the way you stayed coherent and generous in the middle of quite a lot of childish ranting...
I'm a British leftwinger who loves Kid Rock. Yup.
Now, what I want to know is what you think of the last album. It hasn't been released here, probably because his profile here never compared to America but maybe because his star is falling there.
I thought Cocky was okay but some of the countryish songs bored me, I don't think the genre is his strong point... (generally I love country!) Is the new album more stuff like that, kind of MOR, or is it a return to form?
It's never a good sign when bands start covering rock standards either.
Will

Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
Re: Kid Rock: Vote Bush!
AT first, I wasn't thrilled with the newest album...but isn't it always that way? Once the songs get in your brain, you become hooked. I love Black Bobby, Rock n Roll, Hillbilly STomp, and although over the years I've generally despised covers, I actually like his version of Feel Like Makin Love. I didnt care much for the country tunes on Cocky, but did like one or two. My kids love picture, esp my daughter, but it's kind of...pop. Ok, but not a favorite. I actually like the country songs on this new cd!
Kid doesn't get much radio time in the US - aside from Picture and some stations scattered around the country.
I heard he may extend his tour to Europe after October, so maybe you can catch him there? What I find amazing is how he can play so many different types of music - he plays every instrument on stage during a concert,a nd he can seamlessly go from country to hip hop to hard rock...

I implore you, my loyal fans, to follow me, in helping rid the world of GWB.
He's a darn snake eyed bad hat varmint.
Let's head him off at the pass and smoke him out.
As John Lennon said, 'it's only rock'n'roll but I like it'.
