Badly Drawn Boy & Haven's Anti-Racism gig now in Liverpool on Sun 30th May (not Manchester)

Originally planned for a Manchester venue, the ‘Love Music Hate Racism’ gig has had to change cities at the last moment and will now be staged at the Liverpool Academy, after Manchester Police refused the event a licence.

The event, on Sunday 30th May has been set up in order to voice opposition to BNP leader Nick Griffin's campaign for election as North West Euro MP.

Scheduled to appear from Leeds outit The Music, Badly Drawn Boy, Haven, rappers Rodney P & Skitz and fast-rising funk-punx Bloc Party

Entry is free on the door to the 2,600 capacity Students Union venue, although 400 tickets have been set aside for the Manchester crew following the venue change. The tickets will include transport to and from the event with coaches departing from Manchester City Centre at 4pm, and can be obtained by ringing 0790 481 6863 from 12 noon on Wednesday 26th May.
Tickets will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis and will be limited to two tickets per caller.

The Liverpool concert will be followed by a huge open air festival in Finsbury Park, London, on Sunday 6th June, headed by The Libertines and David Gray. This is designed to stop the BNP getting a seat on the Greater London Authority elections.
