Strange-faced spoon bender and Exeter City fan Uri Geller has splashed his cutlery cash all over a house formerly owned by Elvis Presley.

Geller purchased Presley's pre-Gracelands home for just under half-a-million pounds through an eBay auction; his plan is to restore it and open it to the public.

Geller, taking time out from freaking me out, said:

"We are unbelievably pleased. This is a piece of history. As the clock closed on the bidding Sunday, I felt intuitively I got the price. Suddenly the radio started playing an Elvis song. That was Elvis telling me we got the house."

That was Elvis telling you to quit freaking people out, you freak. Then again, your car's got spoons all over it. 'Spect.

Could I PLEASE just say that Uri Geller is NOT, I repeat NOT an Exeter City fan.

He did, for a thankfully brief time, attach himself to our Club, and even called himself co-chairman (although we later found out that he was never at any time registered as Chairman at Companies House).

The season he was with us was the worst in our history (not suprisingly). He is obviously not a very popular person with City fans, and understandably we get a bit upset whenever our Club is mentioned in any article about the spoon bender.

Thanks for letting me put the record straight.
