DiS can exclusively reveal all the local support bands picked to support the Deftones on their short UK tour next week.

Dundee noiseniks Mercury Tilt Switch will be rocking in Glasgow. They played one of the DiS nights at the Windmill a while ago, you may recall.
Hyperactive =emo= boyz thisGIRL will rock you in London.
Music For Nations signings Amplifier will bring the noise in Manchester. Word.

Speaking on the phone to DiS, Mercury Tilt Switch frontman Andy McGarry said "obviously this is the biggest gig we'll have done so far. I can't get nervous about it because it's so far removed from the venues we're used to playing. I don't feel much pressure but it's so hard to comprehend. We're just going to enjoy it!"

DiScuss: Did your band send in a demo? Are you mightily pissed off? Get over it.

I was told last nite how many CDs the promoters got for the London show. I can't remember how much cos I was drunk. But anyway, it was a lot. Like, loads.

That doesn't answer your question so I will just say "hmm".

A bit suspicious that This Girl a "local band" are just about to sign to a major label!
I wonder how fair the selection process was?
