Right, so we've had the news that Sigur Rós's live Inni extravaganza is to be released in November. But that's all old material, right? (More info here). There is fresh material on the way, though, in the form of a new album (via Pitchfork).
The band were interviewed about Inni in The Wall Street Journal. The article reveals that the new, as-yet-untitled record is to be released in Spring 2012, with the band saying that it is "introverted" and "floaty and minimal" according to Jónsi, or Mr. Birgisson as the WSJ cutely refer to him. So that's that. Mystery remains but let's hope we hear something before new year. I guess we can feast on Inni in the meantime, which is no bad thing.
