Though May will be a time when countless numbers of you will be off to one or both ATPs, let's not forget that there are other festivals going on at the time, including the pretty comprehensive Great Escape, which takes place across many, many venues in Brighton every year. This year's festival takes place from May 13-15, and the first wave of bands have just been confirmed. A good bunch they are. Mostly.
Here they are:
Delphic
Chase & Status
Broken Social Scene
Marina & The Diamonds
Esben & The Witch
Ellie Goulding
Crystal Fighters
Slow Club
Cold Cave
Hurts
Japandroids
Real Estate
Timbre Timbre
Darwin Deez
Best Coast
The Cheek
Wild Palms
The Ruby Suns
Let us remind/inform you that we also have our own stage this year. For all three days. We will, of course, be informing you of all the updates to the line-up for that just as soon as we have them. You'll be the first to know.
Just so you can get a taste of a couple of the artists, there's a Ruby Suns song and a Slow Club video to occupy your time.
Tickets are priced at a bargain £45 for all three days and can be bought from here. See you there?

Cannot wait for this...
...but guess I'll have to until May 13. Roll on the spring.
Looking good...
Great line up so far, but I hope they sort the queue situation out this year. Last year if you weren't in somewhere by 9pm you could more or less forget about it. And don't even get me started on the mess they made of the one-in-one-out system at the Speigel Tent.
