TV in the car park? No: C&G TVOTR show moved

TV On The Radio's Concrete and Glass show on Friday has been forced to move from Hearne Street Car Park to Cargo (83 Rivington Street) due to "unforeseen licensing restrictions"

The Concrete and Glass organisers had this to say:

_> "Whilst this is slightly more trying a situation than we'd like at this stage - we're still really happy that TV On The Radio and everyone involved has been so flexible and we look forward to a (very sweaty) and legendary show" _

DiScuss: how bothered are you about not seeing TVOTR in a car park? Are you going to Concrete and Glass? Who's on your must-see list?

i can't wait.

Will be ace.

Isn't

Cargo a little teeny for a show like this? Guess I'm getting there even earlier than originally planned then...

Rivington Street

will be awash with a lot of very pissed off people late on Friday night.

yeah....

....it does seem a little small.....

Get there at the start

and stay there. Basically.

Heh. So Concrete and Glass will now consist of

queuing for hours to see one band.

Balls.

p.s. Shoreditch could do with a...

larger venue, there are enough smaller ones...I think it would work, especially in the context of these Camden Crawl style events that keep popping up in the area. Maybe they could build a brand new Astoria/Electic Ballroom sized venue/club on the Bishopsgate Goods Yard site instead of the planned huge 50+ storey office/yuppie flats towers that noone really wants...

Well I'm glad I didn't shell out for this

I'm going to the Shepherds bush gig instead...despite the lack of tube stop I think it is going to be a much easier night out.

sure...

yeah good one.

shall i just knock one up for you this afternoon? which colour would you like sir?

your suggestion is a good one, but where? ocean on mare st is quite a good place...

Yeah what are they doing with Ocean?

Is it just standing there?

hahaha...

any colour will do - as long as it's not light blue as this board :-P

ocean - is that still open? i reckon it's just a bit too far up the road for C & G

I won free tickets

from EYOE so I dont care tbh...

:D

Er....it's been closed for bloody ages!

admittedly it should be open for the gig, but chances are that it won't.

there's another one.

Has anyone

NOT won tickets from EYOE's, seems like they gave a fuck lot away.

there's 2

and White City (?) is nearby

ok ok

but the other one is on the fucking hammersmith and city line. It's basically far too west london for my liking, however, better that then a camden crawl style festival by the makers of 'Field Day'.

I won mine as well

I don't even like TV on the Radio that much but I'll go along early and check out. I hear they're good live so should be worth a look in.
