Everyone's (well, OK, maybe not everyone) favourite boogie-woogie ivory tinkler cum presenter, Jools Holland, returns to our screens tonight (16/9) with the latest series of Later...with Jools Holland
Carla Bruni, the wife of high-heeled French president Nicolas Sarkozy, features in the first episode of the series, aired live at 22:00 on BBC2 and repeated and extended on Friday at 2335. She joins Metallica, Sway, Nicole Atkins, VV Brown and Kings Of Leon for tonight's edition of Later...
Also due to appear in later editions of the series are Fleet Foxes, Seasick Steve, TV On The Radio, Elbow, Roots Manuva, Kaiser Chiefs and The Streets.
DiScuss:Will you actually tune in and watch? Who will Jools worm his way in with and play boogie-woogie piano over? Will Adrian Edmondson and Roland Rivron ever leave the studio?

them and their stupid live thing
why! why why why! at least they've got TV On The Radio on board... and Elbow are finally getting some recognition obviously
tee hee
"cum presenter"
strangely fitting as well..
looks like a half decent line up
these days if there's two acts worth watching on an episode then it's a good one
Looking forward to seeing
Nicole Atkins.
Finally...
I thought it was just me that found every time I watched they cut to Roland Rivron. What exactly does Roland Rivron do?
CarlaCarlaCarla
Can't wait to see this tonight. Carla Bruni's album is fantastic, one of my favourites of 2008.
VV Brown is good too.
I'm Cryin' Blood.
I've never seen
Fleet Foxes playing live so look forward to that.
why are these comments
set out different?
Metallica and Kings Of Leon
Good enough for me.
I tend to take each episode of Later... as it comes, depending who they've got on, but it's usually worth a watch.
mon dieu
io ti amo Carla!
Meanwhile, everytime I step into any HMV they're blasting fucking DEATH MAGNETIC full volume - why o why???
Evil YouTube Clip
Surprised the Bush Administration didn't go for using this clip on POWs....maybe even they have their humane limits.
*Shudder*!
roots
manuva? Awesome!
VV Brown were shit the other night, metallica wern't as tight as you'd hope for a band of that stature. Kings o' leon were great though :)
Sure
If you like.
