It's the news we've all been waiting for, but it might come as a disappointment if you live far away from a major city: TV On The Radio are indeed touring new album Dear Science (out September 22 via 4AD) in the UK this autumn, but it's only a handful of dates at this stage. Here they are:
October
3 London Concrete and Glass
November
16 Glasgow ABC
17 Manchester Academy 2
18 Birmingham Academy 2
19 London Shepherd's Bush Empire
Tickets are available from this Friday, September 19. See GigsAndTours.com or call 0871 2200 260. Ticket information for the Concrete and Glass show: here.
DiScuss: have you heard Dear Science? What do you reckon? Are they _really the new Talking Heads? Or just the improved TV On The Radio?_

better than Talking Heads
and I love Talking Heads
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
what utter bollocks.
album of the year
Definitely going.
^^^^^
But he does love talking heads.
This is good news BUT
... London date clashes with Low's "Christmas" gig! DRAT!!
I hate it when bands do this
Only 4 cities in the UK worth bothering with my arse.
he'll probably throw something at you though
Low play all the time these days
financially it isnt worth them doing much more
and a lot of time is gonna be spent on press probably. Just travel! Plenty of time to book a cheap megabus. You cant be that far from one of those dates? (unless you're in Ireland) It is quite annoying how "tours" are always like that over here, but think of other countries like the US and Australia, people drive for hours to get to gigs.
looks
like its gonna be a 2 hour trek to birmingham then...why can't they play Welshpool?
Sweeeeeeeeeet!!
Dear Science, album of the year for me, by far, totally blown away by it.
Going to see them in PARIS in two weeks time then the Glasgow date on this tour, cannot wait!!
I just pray
that the Birmingham date won't sell out before I have the money to buy a ticket [which will be in like, two weeks].
SEEMS UNLIKELY THOUGH
Indeed!
but I already have tkts for Low and it's gonna be a Special Christmas show and they're likely to play stuff from the Christmas mini-album which is special... shame.
Seconded
HARD ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^!!!!
Awesome Clip
that's a great version of 'Wolf Like Me' they did on Letterman.
Not heard the new album yet, waiting patiently for the offical release like a good boy.
disappointingly small tour of the UK, maybe they're going to a bigger tour next year?
