iForward, Russia! announce last show... for now?

Soon-to-be inactive Leeds quartet iForward, Russia! will play their final show ("for the foreseeable future" - according to label Cooking Vinyl) at the Brainwash Festival in their hometown of Leeds on Friday October 17.
The event takes place at the Brudenell Social Club (where DiS interviewed them earlier this year), and will also see performances from fellow locals Sky Larkin, Vessels, These Monsters, Wintermute, Paul Marshall and That Fucking Tank over the course of its weekend-long tenure. Tickets you say? Try here.
iForward, Russia! singer Tom Woodhead has also spoken out in an attempt to clear up the confusion regarding the band's future plans. Here's what he said... verbatim:
"We HAVEN'T split up, the message _[we put out about the break] was carefully worded so as not to give that impression but obviously it hasn't worked 100%. We also deliberately avoided the word 'hiatus' because that has obvious splitting-up connotations but people have shoehorned in there. At the moment, we have no timetabled plans to do anything, but at some point in the future we do intend to write new songs. When that will be no-one knows."_

damn
i wish i could go to that
¡forward, russia! have been one of my favourite bands for quite a while
very sad to hear about this break, however long it might be
i never even got to see any life processes material live
damn
it's a shame, for sure
I really rated that album. it's not *over* over, though, might just have to wait a long while for more.
I know the original story about the "split" was posted on here ages ago...
...but surely this is like REALLY old news too?
I mean the Brainwash show was actually confirmed on the same day they announced they were taking a break :S
...
Maybe, but it's worth re-iterating. This is a good festival. Plus the quote from Tom is new, and pertinent.
Fair point...
And yeah, the festival is indeed pretty spectacular - especially for the price!
Already got my weekend ticket sorted. Just need to sort out somewhere to crash for 2 nights now!
I had convinced myself I had missed this
thanks for the reminder - I just bought my ticket
Unsurprising
The second album was rubbish. No passion or intensity to it in anyway, and that was what they were all about...
that lineup
looks pretty good
Shame it's the same weekend as Elbow on sunday. And that I'm unlikely to get the time off. :(
Any help people?
I would love to know if there is an age limit and when it finishes(specifically on the friday)!
Please
yeah
i live nearby :D
forward russia's possbibly last gig
probably sunday night:P
yeah
but I live miles away, I'll probably look to stay all weekend
