The Glastonbury-goer whacked by Amy Winehouse during the singer's Pyramid Stage set at the weekend has spoken to the BBC about his brush with a celebrity swinger.
Winehouse could clearly be seen lashing out at 25-year-old Londoner James Gostelow in footage of the festival, broadcast by the BBC. Missed it? Here:
On the incident, Mr Gostelow commented to the BBC:
"At the end of the day it is all part of being at the front and being pushed by thousands of people. It is all part of the Glastonbury experience."
Michael Eavis, Glasto Supremo, defended Winehouse after the footage was beamed around the globe on Saturday night, saying she'd been touched by a fan. The footage seems to show a hat, tossed from the crowd, hitting the singer before she punches at Mr Gostelow. A case of mistaken identity, it seems. That said, why jump into the pit for your last two songs if you're that bothered about people potentially touching you?

were at the front for this. They reckoned that the guy had tried to pull her dress down.
The footage is too close up to her face immediately before she takes a pop at the guy to call really.
In other thoughts - is what boils down to sexual assualt really OK if a female goes near her fans? Does this mean that women shouldn't go into the pit if they don't want to be groped? I think you're on slightly dodgy ground with that last comment.

but standing in a group of people at the front of a gig, you would expect to be touched. if you are the focus of the attention its even more likely.
it doesnt mean people can grope her. but it doesnt mean she was sensible in going down there.

LEONARD COHEN. Remarkable show, although I had had a lot of red wine, so probably wasn't as good as I thought it was.

Yes, he was justified in being annoyed but IMO he did go a bit bonkers when he could have let it pass or just said one witty comment rather than a whole load of verbal abuse.
