Plain White T's and Jeffrey Lewis among new names for Reading and Leeds festivals
More names have been scattered across the various stages of this year’s Reading and Leeds festivals.
Most prominent among them will be the unlikeable Plain White T's who along with NYC act Mindless Self Indulgence join the Main Stage bill on the Sunday at Reading and the Friday at Leeds. Flies at the ready, gents. Who knows? Maybe the fear will be enough. Maybe they'll piss themselves.
Elsewhere though there are plenty of things that really don’t deserve to be soaked in beery urine – twin pillars of the US underground Jeffrey Lewis and Henry Rollins will be on the Alternative Stage; the former doing Reading on Friday, Leeds on Sunday and the latter in Reading on Sunday, Leeds on the Saturday.
Stolen Recordings’ Pete and the Pirates have been added to the Radio 1/NME Stage (Reading Friday, Leeds Saturday) and Tiger Army, The Briggs and Blackhole all make for the Lock-Up Stage.
The Reading and Leeds festivals take place from the 22nd ‘til the 24th of August. Tickets have already sold out.

why the hell
are blackhole playing. have they even had a release... or a good song?
is
this the band who has the one member who is the brother of the guy from gallows?
if so, effing weak.
YAY PLAIN WHITE T'S!!!
i'm such a gay!
is Rollins doing his spoken word thing ??
Awesome !!!!!
yes it is
it's pretty obvious that they wouldn't be anywhere if it wasn't for gallows
Unfortunately it's his papier mache workshop
followed by a short seminar on how to make the perfect fruit sorbet!
i would
prefer that to his spoken word
can you imagine how much fun making papier mache with henry would be :o
So I assume the Carling Tent is now called the Alternative Stage?
And nothing besides Big Hen and Jeffrey Lewis has been announced for it? Wish they'd get a hurry on, my whole enthusiasm for the festival is depending on that fucking tent.
alternative stage
is the old comedy and caberet
Rollins and Jeff Lewis ?!!?!?
WHY AM I NOT GOING TO THIS :(
ROLLINS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:D I wanted to cry yesterday when i realised i was on holiday for his tour thing
