Björk in London: setlist, excitement, etc

DiS is excited...

We're off to see Björk on Thursday, but Jude Rogers of our sister site The Lipster was at her first of three (London) Hammersmith Apollo shows last night to deliver a pretty tasty-looking setlist.

The Lipster enjoyed a week of exclusive Björk content last week - if you missed it, click here.

Last night's setlist...

'Hunter'
'Unravel'
'Hope'
(with Toumani Diabate)

Look out for a 'top-ten' feature on Björk later today featuring contributions from both m'self and editor of t'other new DiS-sibling website The Quietus, John Doran.

harro

im going to iceland in 2 weeks. im staying at Hotel Bjork.

Truefact.

i stayed there!

it's nice though quite noisy. there was nearby construction taking place at the time (early last year). have a good'un.

Did anyone support her?

And will they be supporting on Thurs?

nice hotel that is

ive walked passed it a few times, on the icelandic musical hotel note spot the leifur erikson hotel

^ this

I also want to know. I'm also super excited

Also, I'm also also. Also?

Leila "supported"

Also - i don't remember her playing "Where Is The Line" - but she was on 5 minutes late so may have cut it.

Leila was weird

I didn't quite get it, and thought most people were standing around going WTF... but at least they just wheeled her stuff off and Bjork was pretty prompt getting on :o)

last night

Having Mark Bell from LFO doing the beats and bass for Bjork was amazing. I thought having Matmos with her last time couldnt be beat but hearing the thunderous rendition of 'Declare Independence' or the way 'Hyperballad' mixed into LFO's 'Freak' convinced me otherwise.

she did

with rahzels beat boxing being played on a tonori-on..it was a bit of a mess tho to be fair

the sound was terrible tho

made a lot of the beats seem quite sludgy

hmmm

i musta just been caught up in the moment then... or maybe it segued into desired constellation which made me forget it?

It was great at the very front

but I can imagine it was less good further back- that's how the Hammersmith Apollo normally is

I stayed there in 2006

what's musical about it?
