The Wedding Present, Darren Hayman: tickets on sale now for Indietracks 2008
Tickets are now on sale for this year’s Indietracks festival.
The Wedding Present (pictured) will headline the event, which takes place on the grounds of a 1950s' steam railway in Derbyshire and also includes appearances from Comet Gain, Darren Hayman and The Wave Pictures.
Tickest cost £45 for the weekend (26th/27th July) and are available from here.
Other acts set to play include Esiotrot, The Bobby McGees and The Manhattan Love Suicides - look out for a competition to win tickets to run on DrownedinSound in April.

choo-choo!
if that's not enough you can also ride on the steam trains.
oh, and there are a couple of fortuna pop! bands playing - milky wimpshake and airport girl. i should probably mention that.
Hot off the press
A 22 year old photo. Nice. Only Gedge remains.
Choo choooooo!
I can not recommend this festival highly enough. I went last year and it was brilliant, the perfect antidote to queueing for hours for beer tokens and wading through acres of mud for rancid food. There was cheap ale, friendly railway staff serving up home-made chips and snacks, free rides on the steam train, sparkling clean camping facilities (with plugs!) and - most importantly - lots and lots of fab new bands. Plus it's only £45 - what more could you ask for? I already can't wait to see the boy Gedge do his stuff this year- I'm holding out for a Gedge/Hayman duo!
Lovely festival!
This was such a nice, laid back festival last year and the steam train rides were the icing on the cake! :-)
last year
was amazing. Just perfect really. The church stage is amazingly lovely and there were so many great bands (Bearsuit, The Bobby McGees, The Parallelograms, Arthur & Martha, Wake The President, etc).
This year... Comet Gain. Fucking hell. I'm there. Literally. Ticket bought.
Theres a bouncy castle!
and bands in the church like boney said above and all the volunteers at the railway are ridulousy friendly and excited and really happy that people have come to the festival and the sun shined for 2 days and they have real toilets with flushes and toilet paper and everyone should go.
this
is ace. everybody go go.
eeeeeee!
AND ballboy are playing! I haven't seen them in aaaaaaaaages.
red pony clock, retro spankees, the deirdres, pocketbooks.. and helen love bubblegum killer dj's... yowza!
i'm wetting myself about milky wimpshake and comet gain too.
and trains! and lots of lovely booze and all the nice people.
Best. Fest. Ever. Est.
