_ Happy birthday to DiS, happy birthday to DiS... _
Blah, blah, blah. This site launched seven years ago with few expectations, far too many ideals and way too much enthusiasm. Seven years on and we've got a bit of a paunch, with word of mouth bringing us to 300,000 readers a week from all over the world. Which, quite frankly, is crazy. Just thought we'd take this opportunity to thank everyone who has been involved, especially_ you lot _for reading and championing the site.
Please now send us cake.
No silly lists this year. No big parties. No bells, no whistles. We've been too busy. Busy making a new DiS. Just so you know we're re-launching the site later month with a facelift (rather than face any Face Off-style transplant) to get rid of our heavy wrinkles. We'll have a flourish of genetic mutations around this time, too, as part of a new dawn for DiS.
DiScuss: What've been your highlights of the past seven years? What do you imagine DiS being like in another seven years’ time? What do you hope the new site might be like?

no highlights
none.
Back then
the internet was in black and white. Was only on for three hours a day. We'd log onto les byan.com and order a gas mask and a pound of tripe. And when we'd log off, we'd all stand up and sing the national anthem.
.
big ups
Its my birthday today aswell !!!!!
Get in. lets marry.
Happy Birthday DiS
Love to the forum regulars.

highlight
The podcasts - they brought much joy to me on the other side of the world and introduced me to heaps of new bands.
I know your seven, I know your seven..
and you're gonna be a seven year old muthafucka for the rest of your life... wearing a twister mat for a dress with a Hot Wheels race track for a belt.
Or something like that.
Happy Birthday.
