Scouting for boys: new label plots UK trek
New Brooklyn label Boy Scout Recordings is sending three of its artists over to the UK this month for a joint tour.
Dawn Landes, The Sargasso Trio and Turner Cody make up the convoy and will call in at these stops:
September
16 Salisbury The End Of The Road Festival *
17 Cardiff The Barfly
18 Sheffield The Boardwalk
19 London The Spitz Folk Festival #
20 Norwich The Playhouse Bar
21 Nottingham The Social
23 Brighton The Barfly
24 London Water Rats
* = dawn Landes only
# = dawn Landes w/ Young Republic
I don't know why I'm talking about convoys.
Boy Scout Recordings is the new venture from one Tim (Love) Lee. The press release said he:
"turned his back on the fickle trends and drunken squalor of Shoreditch and followed his heart to Brooklyn, where the civilising effects of a good woman and long country walks lead him to a new appreciation of music that touches the heart and head as much as it touches the tummy and moves the feet."
