Timbaland to quit? 'I'm bored of your Earth music'

Timbaland has hinted - quite heavily - that he is to get out of this music game.
"Music is boring right now," said Timbaland, real name Timothy Z. Mosley. "I'm too innovative for the world."
Earth; population: 6,602,224,175.
"I've been doing it so long, I'm about to throw in the towel," continued the producer. "I'm about to de-crown myself and pass it over to one of the up-and-coming producers under me."
"They won't be able to be me - there's only one Timbaland - but there's a certain sound that I try to teach."
It may be possible that Timbaland's comments bear some relation to his recent work on the new Duran Duran album. It's possible.
- Hip hopped up: 50 Cent, Blige, Timbaland linked to illegal steroids
- Chart round-up: just one falsetto, give it to me...
- Chart round-up: Robyn Kleers Up! Nash slays Potts!
- Gogol think global: Madge collaboration at Live Earth
- Timbaland to quit? 'I'm bored of your Earth music'
- Rough and tumble, Timbaland style: rapper arrested
- Video for M.I.A's new single, album tracklisting revealed
- California in focus: The KCRW Corner
yay no more of his ugly fat face
and shite music!
Timbalands production=Totally crunk
Timbaland as a person=Totally wack.
not exactly going out on a high
his work on volta was sub-par and the stuff on justin's album was just ripping off prince (quite well, admittedly). too innovative my arse
i thought his production on Volta was pretty damn good
and his recent pop production has been brilliant. He's not quite the futurist he once was and often retraces old steps, but if it aint broke etc. (and most other popsters are only just catching up now)
But remember people, this is a hip hop retirement. Even if he did quit
you can expect him to return within a year with 'the comeback'
and RE: the Duran Duran album-
:D :D :D
too innovative?
pah. nellys new songle he worked on is BORING
yeah
i totally meant to put songle.
it's the hip new combination of song and single all the cool people are saying it.
Pathetic Humanoids!
I think this announcement should have been made in a Morbo from Futurama-stylee. And also in the third person:
"Timbaland derides your puny human attempts at music. He will travel to his homeworld Funkatron III to return with a totally pimpin' invasion fleet and destroy all of your bland derivative beats! Cower, non-innovative ape descendants! AH-HAHAHA!"
The invasion fleet would have the spacecraft equivalent of those pneumatics that make cars bounce.
if you're too innovative for this world
then find another. preferably under the sea. with no breathing apparatus.
Well
I think he's a pretty good producer.
Yep
On being accused of nicking the guys tune:
"It makes me laugh....I don't know him from a can of paint. I'm 15 years deep. That's how you attack a king? You attack moi? Come on, man. You got to come correct. You the laughing stock. People are like, 'You can't be serious'"
The guy's got a bit of the midas about him...
Fair play - he's made shit people sound not shit and that requires some talent i'd have thought.
I do love him, but he wears stupid tracksuits.
Too innovative eh? Let's test it...
sample lyric from his singing cameo with Nelly Furtado - 'it's ok, it's alright, i've got something you gonna like'
what a concept! My mind is like, totally BLOWN dude...
made me pee
just a little- the morbo comment. good work
Timbaland is a great producer
and pop music will be worse off without him.
"totally crunk"
definetely one of the top ten 'most white things i've ever heard.'
quits on a sore note
i think he is an amazing producer and hasn't really been touched in many aspects...but the disgraceful way he confronted the recent plagiarism accusations has really put him way down in my respect for him..arrogant fuck that won;t admit it when he;s blatantly done wrong.
but a talented fucker and i'll miss his beats :(
He's
spread himself far too thin recently and most of it has been below par for him. He needs to stop appearing in random videos and stick to producing. His "solo" album was dire.
