Duracell
What a highly unoriginal crap name for a band to call themselves.
^watch the guy
and the name makes sense
Bought tickets for this a while back i think
not sure though. Looks brilliant, particularly looking forward to fuckbuttons and Sunn0))).
please
go and watch fuckbuttons. seriously.
Let Me guess
he's ginger and dresses in black?
Fair dincum.
This looks great.
i thought
we were supposed to be playing this?
oh yeah
there we are...
excellent
Supersonic is a great way to spend a couple of days in Brum - except I'll have to spend all of July there :-(
The place (Custard Factory) is amazing too.....
Durrrr..
He's a French guy, one man band drummer, like the other guy said...it makes perfect sense. But hey, don't mind that.
Shit and Shine
Saw this lot at the Custard Factory. They really lived up to their name. Monotony with 4 drumkits, 3 basses and a bloke with loads of pedals. Their inclusion, along with Tunng are causing me to pause before buying a ticket.
.
I'm assuming it takes place in two venues? or is it two rooms in the same venue? Either way- do the bands clash? If so, thats going to really piss me off being forced to make decisions....
Venues
The Custard Factory is literally the old "Birds" Factory. It's built in a quadrant with a big pool in the middle which is drained and a stage set up for the main acts. As you enter the quadrant, to your left is the Medicine Bar which is the second largest venue and to your right is the theatre which tends to fill quickly.
Yes you will need to make decisions but the stages are less than 100m from each other, so unlike other multi stage festivals it takes literally seconds to get from one band to another.
But
both venues are quite small, and the place packs up quickly. I'd like to see it somewhere with more room for stages and punters. There are talks of moving it to the new Eastside Park (just a couple of miles up north, towards Aston)when it will be ready.
