Simple Kid simply tours

Cork's Simple Kid is to tour the UK in May.

Ciaran McFeely, as he's known by his Ma and Da, will play ten dates in total. His last recorded output - the Simple Kid 2 album - saw the light of day back in October, so we presume it's too early for him to have another out.

Here are the full details of this 'just-for-the-hell-of-it' tour, then:

May
14 London Scala
16 Brighton Komedia
17 Bristol Thekla
18 Nottingham Social
19 Newcastle Academy 2
20 Birmingham Bar Academy
22 Liverpool Academy 2
23 Dublin The Village
25 Glasgow Oran Mor
26 Stockton Georgian Theatre

Support on the date comes from ex-JJ72 man Mark Greaney, who is joined in London by Hafdís Huld - she what used to be in Icelandic techno band Gus Gus.

Mark Greaney!

this warrants the rare writing of 'LOL' from me.

i am totally going to this.

weeeeeeeeee dooooooooohn neeeeeeeeeeed axe-a-giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiin

I'm going

just to see Mark

I heart JJ72

I saw them at wireless last year...

or was it the year before..... erm.... yeah anyway. they were really good.

I saw them 18 times in their lifetime

Obsessive fan alert!

It was a shame they never got to release their third album, the select tracks I heard from it sounded their best work.

Also Mark's voice has really matured, but suffered from stupid production on their second album. I'll be interested to hear his solo stuff.

I'll go and hide in the corner to prepare for the "They're shit" and "He sings like a girl" hits

i loved jj72 as well :(

i only saw them twice though and i didn't see them after their early 2002 tour.
during their last song at v2001, mark lifted his guitar strap off his shoulders and began to spin around smashing his strat into anything that got in its way. then muse came along and slayed. i walked back to the tent in a daze. amazing.

enough with this JJSeventyPoo crap

this article is about the genius of Simple Kid - except his latest's a bit shit....

i am totally coming with you

simple kid AND guy from jj72 :D

Simple Plan

when is the nu record out?

And it's on my birthday!

Double trouble!
