Muse, Snow Patrol, Kasabian and Keane have been announced as headline bands for this year’s Isle of Wight Festival.
The festival takes place on the weekend of June 8-10 at Seaclose Park, Newport, Isle of Wight.
We should probably write something witty and scathing about all the bands playing, but as you’ll see by glancing below, sometimes a festival line up itself writes a thousand words.
Friday 8 June
Snow Patrol
The Feeling
Saturday 9 June
Muse
‘Plus special guests Kasabian’
Ash
Amy Winehouse
Sunday 10 June
Headliner TBC
Keane
The Fratellis
Paolo Nutini
James Morrison
Who could that ‘very special headliner' be for the Sunday? Suggestions, anyone?
See you down the front, surely…

the rumour
is The Stones as headliner. doubt it'll happen.
Wow Friday looks good !!
The Feeling AND Snowpatrol.
Its like a virgin radio extravaganza !!
Two words spring to my mind.
"Fuck" and "That" !!
Well...
Saturday sounds entertaining enough.
Kasabian
There is nothing special about them.
They're...
really thinking outside the box aren't they?
I don't think i could handle it... sounds far too much like a noisefest to me!
Secret Artist
Are Take That, surely
fucking hell.
boring. as. shit.
More like Isle of Bland..
I'm aware that is in no way a cunning pun, but come on, i dont even hate these artists, cept The Feeling, they're just so staid and dull and Kasabian. I can't go to Glasto this year, the rumours so far don't make me burn with anger that I can' go, T in the Park was looking good but new rumours of the View and Snow Patrol have put me off. Damn these dull line-ups. Why don't I live closer to Coachella?
Isle of Shite
The wit took too long to come, sorry.
ooh!
TBC are playing! they're great! nah-naaah-na-na-na-yeah yeaaah...
<tumbleweed>
Probably be someone really dull like Primal Scream...
Damn it
i thought last years lineup was actualy ok. Oh well, no festivals for me then...
pffft
how shit. i went last year, it was shit musically, but a top weekend. if i end up going this year, looks like that formula will need to be repeated.
i just checked my calendar
and it appears it isn't actually April 1st today. Whats going on? This is clearly a JOKE, be it literally or metaphorically.
The headliner on the sunday is probably Chris De Burgh, and Keane will guest with him doing that song oooh chris de burgh, chris de burgh.
Rubbish.
Maybe
there'll be a nice tidal wave.
That picture of the guy from Kasabian
Just begging for a little moustache to go with that salute
Cry...
This has been a bit of a tradition for me and my mates over the past few years. Granted, last year I only caught about 5 bands but the whole weekend was just great fun.
However this year it seems far too risky. I'd like to see Muse again, and perhaps Amy Winehouse, but I couldn't pay for a ticket knowing that some of the dosh is going to the rest of those 'bands'.
Fare the well Isle of Wight Festival, I knew you well.
He was shit
Apparently
wow
there's not a single band I'd be interested in seeing. No ferry journeys for me next summer.

Paolo Nutini
The Fratellis
