Massive Attack have revealed that Damon Albarn and Tunde Adebimpe will lend their vocals to the band's next album.
The pair, along with ex-Mazzy Star singer Hope Sandoval, will guest on Weather Underground, Massive Attack's first new material since 2003.
The band play tonight at London's Brixton Academy; DiS will be there, nodding gently. No release date for the new album has yet been confirmed.

Interesting...
Loved 100th Window, hopefully they can follow it up well.
They were ace the other night in Brummy.
I
always wanted to have a band called Weather Underground, but felt it sounded a bit too similar to the Velvets, so I didn't.
My lack of musical ability also contributed.
And I hope this sounds like the first two records (i.e. great) rather than the last two (i.e. shit).
All I can say is
TUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUNNNNDEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Saw them last night at Brixton.
It was good.
I think I was expecting it to be so much better but I was kind of let down. Just thought the whole sound was going to be so much more bigger.
Still....look forward to the new stuff.
patton!
mike patton is also on a few tracks apparently,
this should be a bloomin' good album
Cannot wait
YEAH!
weather undergound
that would be the name of the 2nd and somewhat underrated Geneva record
Mental production by Howie B
Amnesia Valley? Tuuuuuuuune
such a nice thing
that someone knows that geneva album. amazing record.
Did they not
mention that Robert Smith has done some vocals on it too?
Shoddy press release that.
Shoddy?
I'd say the PR was on the nail. Any mention of Big Bobby Smith would damage Massive Attack's stock no end surely shirley?
the man sang love cats.
just leave it.
