V2005: Stage Times
Also the JJB Arena? I wonder how many of JJB's customers listen to Sonic Youth? The worst festival apart from Wireless surely.

If that happens, it's five rainy festivals on the trot for me. I must be due a good one eventually...
Re: V2005: Stage Times
V2005: Stage Times
So basically, I just hang around the second stage and make the odd trip or two to the V stage (this year, Franz and Idlewild). Easy.
V2005: Stage Times
check out Emiliana Torrini if you've not seen her before, she's amazing.
Re: V2005: Stage Times
Agreed. I was of the impression, from the little I had heard, that it was going to be classic mimsy singer/songwriter stuff. Then I got to see her for free as I was street teaming at her gig. And she was great.
V2005: Stage Times
Did they make an extra-special effort to book the most abominably turgid shit available for this festival? I mean, it must take some effort to fill four stages over two days with absolute wank.
I can only afford to go to one festival this year, and it's in my pal's back garden - he gets all the best bands he knows personally to come down and play. It's great. And free.
Re: V2005: Stage Times
V2005: Stage Times
Surely this is quite a DIS friendly event with all your indie and stuff? Rather this than the boredom that the Glastonbury bill promises each year.
V2005: Stage Times
how easily the mind wanders.
roll the fuck on, reading.
V2005: Stage Times
V2005: Stage Times
Tom Vek, Sonic Youth, M83, The Frames, KT Tunstall, SFA, Doves, Idlewild... then laugh at the people singing along to Joss Stone and Rooster...
V2005: Stage Times
V has always been Reading/Leeds lite, geared towards more mainstream listeneners.
V2005: Stage Times
The only stage that would hold me attention there is the Carling stage... Fucking Kasabian headlining... almost as bad as Oasis.
Re: V2005: Stage Times
But really, if I was to go no Sunday for example, to Chelmsford, everything would clearly NOT be ok.
Joss Stone or Chelsea v Arsenal? What a tough call.
And before you say it, tomorrow is definitely not worth missing Southend v Huddersfield for. Definitely not...
V2005: Stage Times
also, the V organisers seem to be on acid when they organise the order of the bands - which is more comedic than anything. this year idlewild being stuck between rooster and tony christie for example. which usually ends up with erm, interesting results
