One half of Azure Ray returns with her lush voice and OC-folk (sic!) ditties...
Maria Taylor has set a handful of UK dates for the month of May in support of her debut album, 11:11, out on May 24th. The singer/songwriter will play the following gigs:
MAY
20 Nottingham Junction 7
21 Manchester Zumeroom
22 London Venue TBA
11:11 was recorded at Presto! Studios in Lincoln, Nebraska and at Chase Park Transduction in Athens, Georgia with producers like Mike Mogis (Bright Eyes, The Faint, Rilo Kiley) and Andy LeMaster. The album features back-up vocals and music from artist's like Bright Eyes' Conor Oberst, Cursive's Gretta Cohn, and Andy LeMaster.

I'm sure i'll be dragged along to the Manchester one. Which isn't necessarily a bad thing. Azure Ray kick the arse out of Rilo Kiley, Now it's Overhead, Son Ambulance etc.

11:11 is also the name of a fine album by a Dutch band called Voicst, who I had the pleasure to see supporting POTUSA. Off topic? Me?

I think that's why 'Saddle Creek's' was put in front of it later on. There ain't nothing wrong with that.
