Following her debut single, 'Chewing Gum,' released last September, disco-pop and electro artist Annie returns to the music scene with 'Heartbeat,' a new track from her upcoming debut album. 679 Recordings plans to unleash Annie's latest single on 21st February, with the release of her album, 'Anniemal,' following shortly thereafter on 7th March.
'Heartbeat' was originally released last December as a download only track, mixed by Roysopp. The album will be released backed by a series of exclusive new mixes from Alan Braxe, Maurice Fulton, and Phones (featuring Maximo Park). The aforementioned Royksopp mix is now available on vinyl.

Anniemal was probably my favourite album of 2004.
all you corny indie fucks might note 'My Heartbeat' as Pitchforkmedia's #1 track of 2004.
Also, the album is a rerelease. It was released october 2004 on the sly then withdrawn.

chewing gum was awful the first twenty times i heard it, then suddenly it took on a life of its own. it now owns me. literally. i'm not joking. it has bought the rights to my soul and any children i may ever have.
