I meant John Robb last year when he stayed in my house. Lovely man.
(This isn't a namedrop, by the way. He's a friend of a friend of my flatmate, and the band stayed in the house after their van broke down en route to a Bristol gig.)

Has the single (Psycho) already been reviewed on here then? I looked but couldn't find anything, so I posted one yesterday.
Go and see Goldblade; more fun than a trouser full of ferrets.

Heh. My housemate is a huge New Model Army fan, but it leaves me cold. They were supporting them on the occasion described above as well. But yeah, Gold Blade are great and I don't know why they never did at least as well as, say, Rocket From The Crypt.

Yet another great band give Sheffield a miss. We suck!
I met john robb when he accidentally split my pint at a Membranes gig. He's bigger than me, though, so I let it pass.

to be fair, he she has slated loads of shit over-rated bands, but fuck me, Snow Patrol better than GoldBlade?...what's the world coming to?

I met john Robb in 86 at Leeds Poly. Hes a big geezer who created still the most organic manifestation of sheer sonic annihalation ever. The Membranes Death To Trad Rock E.P still continues to blow me away 20 years after its release. The first time i put it on my brother ran down stairs expecting to find them playing live in the living room. I dont know how they managed to make something so incredibly overwhelming, they certainly never got so close to complete in your face music ever again. Fuckin awesome record.
