Perhaps you’ve noticed that DiS Festivals mini-site that we not-so slyly launched today? No? Then how in the hell did you wind up here, then? Bah, it matters not: by way of celebrating the new forward-slash-something we’ve got going on, DiS has procured two VIP passes to the upcoming Electric Gardens festival to give away to a lucky reader. Wanna win? Read on…
Electric Gardens (link) launches this year with a line-up including Warren Suicide, Audio Bullys, Cagedbaby, Stanton Warriors, The Charlatans, The Automatic, The Young Knives, The Long Blondes, Jamie T, Adem, Brakes, Battle, Mystery Jets, Archie Bronson Outfit… we could go on, but it’s probably best that the inquisitive direct their attention to the festival’s website.
Held at Mount Ephraim Gardens in Kent, the festival runs over the weekend of August 5th and 6th – that’s a Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are £25 a day (camping tickets available by e-mailing info@electricgardens.com), but who cares about paying when you can grab a pair for nowt? VIP at that!
To be in with a chance of winning these two tickets, just answer this question…
Although my garden isn’t electric, it does have a charcoal barbecue in it. From what store did I purchase said outdoor cooking appliance from, though? Was it…
A) Homebase (Haringey branch)?
B) McSpaff’s Outdoor Superstore?
C) Colin Roberts’ Brilliant World Of Barbecues?
Send your answer to COMPETITION CLOSED by close of business on August 1 to be in with a chance. Please write “Electric Gardens competition” in the subject field or your entry will be IGNORED.
Winners will be contacted on August 1 - just before we go home - via e-mail; they will then be instructed to provide an address so we can SEND these tickets to them. Via camel. Or maybe not.
Do refer to the festival's website (here again, in case you missed it earlier) for all transport/additional information, and good luck!

what
a shit line up.
You think?
Look at the site - I think there's a little something for just about everyone there, over the two days.
man, that music on their website is so annoying.
Looks like a good festival. I only live about 10 miles away so will go on the Sunday I think.
hmm
larrikin love are the only band on that lineup that i'd pay to see
That's a great line-up for the price.
I'd pay £25 to see Adem and Battles anyway.
Battle...
sadly NOT Battles.
Oh....
Forget that statement then!
Shit line up?
Plumps, Stantons, Freq Nasty, Audio Bullys.....
Broaden your horizons a bit
fuck off
back to koko then
gimley
that's value for money right there - you'd rather pay over £130 to sit in a stinking field in reading or leeds with rank food, that's so over-subscribed & oversold that you can't even see the bands you've paid all that money for?
i'm defo up for a bit of EG action. it's great to have a local festival to support...unless you live in guildford.
