Head Automatica: First Single!

Head Automatica are to release their first single later this year.

Head Automatica, the rather funky new collaboration between Glassjaw frontman Daryl Palumbo and Dan 'The Automator' Nakamura (Handsome Boy Modelling School, Gorillaz), are to release their first single, 'Beating Heart Baby', and will accompany it with recently shot video. You can view the video at the band's website, www.headautomatica.com.

Their debut album, 'Decadence', should be released in the UK on August 23rd.

Head Automatica: First Single!

daryl wanted to create some bridge between squeeze and glassjaw - i think beating heart baby is a great song, but the remainder of the album is all a bit generic, just a little bit disappointing. Great singing as expected however.

I just think Glassjaw have so much further to go and one amazing album at least left to make. Anyone who has seen them live will attest they are amazing and have great presence.

Glassjaw have the potential to easily make a truly classic rock album. The blow all that piss-weak 'Bullets And Shattered Hearts And Overly-Pretentious Meaningless Song Titles With ANGUISHED SCREAMING' stuff out of the water.

Head Automatica: First Single!

The working titles of the tracks off Decadence were so much better than the final ones they chose! Whether parodying Glassjaw ("Tip Your Hooker" or "Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Straight Edge") or just being outright childish ("Tara Reid Is A Whore" or "Zack Morris Is My Hero").
