DiS Tours: Saddle Creekers Azure Ray in February!
- Artists:
- Azure Ray »
Two girls; Orenda Fink and Maria Taylor. With their fourth album 'Hold on Love' (which featured in our albums of 2003) they truly mesmerized us, contrasting warmth with haunting soundscapes as they crossed from romantic to tear-jerking in the flutter of an eyelash. They're signed to probably the most respected label in the world right now, Omaha's, Saddle Creek, home to the likes of Shortlist Prize nominee Bright Eyes, plus The Faint, Rilo Kiley, Desaparecidos, Cursive and many more. They are Azure Ray and they're coming our way...

As we don't book these tours, merely help to spread the word about the ones we really like, we don't have much, if any say in where the shows go. Plus, a lot of the time it comes down to local promoters, date availability and how long a band is in the country (if you like Azure Ray are here from America for a week)
Starting your own night is a much better solution than moaning at us...
Re: DiS Tours: Saddle Creekers Azure Ray in February!
Maybe we just shouldn't bother, eh? C'mon, quitcha moaning and go post about stuff you like, rather than constantly picking goddarn holes...
Re: DiS Tours: Saddle Creekers Azure Ray in February!
a) no-one would be very interested, meaning no readers, meaning no-one to champion new music to.
b) our news wouldn't be very 'news'-worthy
c) and bands like hundred reasons wouldn't be written about on the eltist flawed grounds that they're not new (even tho we did write quite a bit about them when they were new, so nur!)

or ANY of the Saddle Creek bands... it's such an amazing label.
If you want local bands... try Seven Cycles, Kinaro, 35 Seconds or the mighty X is Greater than Y
