2008's In The City event kicked off yesterday in Manchester with a host of showcase gigs, pictorial evidence of which is presented below - plus shots from Late Of The Pier's opening party set on Saturday.

Look out for more snaps and some critical analysis of the action in the coming days - remember, too, that DiS hosts our own (birthday) party at The Night & Day tomorrow evening from 7pm-2am with These New Puritans, Grammatics, Skeletons, Prego and O Children, followed by DiS and Tender Maulings DJs - get your ticket here.
