Just going to leave this here
even being able to have split-screen shooters is a novelty, it's bullshit
That 4-player football thing looks class, looks like the closest thing to having a console version of Slime Soccer.
"Tangiers - Stealth gameplay meets the darker avant-garde of the 20th century. Writers such as Burroughs and Ballard, artists within the Dada movement and the music and textures of Throbbing Gristle, Cabaret Voltaire and David Lynch all drive us. They are our motivations - often oblique, sometimes in open reference."
It looks incredible I think.
Won the first two games (with 1/3 friends respectively) with relative ease, and then got absolutely dominated by a Bounty Hunter with over 250 wins. Pretty thorough drubbing we got too, he was nearly untouchable after 25 mins and the game went on for 45 :/
Loving Arkham Asylum. Amazing what you can still do with an air vent in a game, eh? On my way to Killer Croc's lair. Nearly wet myself with excitement when the Batwing came through that glass roof. Probably would have finished it now too if I hadn't spent 2 hours last night trying to get this super tricky Riddler trophy.
Downloaded KOTOR on ipad after your recommendations last week. Struggle to get excited about touch screen gaming but it seems good an hour in. Controls work well and it 'feels' like a Star Wars experience. Wasted about 40 minutes trying to understand the rules to that card game.
Just out of interest, if you play it once being super nice and once being super evil does the experience change much?
You will have a couple of set-piece decisions where you can save or doom communities or individuals.
The biggest difference is in the final 10% of the game where, if you are evil, the only team who will remain with you are the morally ambivalent or corruptible members of your team. I kind of like this ending though, not enough games let you lead an evil gang heading to take over the universe.
but one of them allowed you to make one of the most despicable choices in gaming. My friend would cackle madly to himself for years afterwards just thinking about it.
It's good fun and looks amazing, I've not played a 2D platformer properly since Amiga/SNES days so I'm enjoying the retro feel. I'm pretty bad at it though...
Also playing a bit of Witcher 2 just killed the Kayran mosnter thing.
And finally finished Alice: Madness Returns, it's got great art design and levels but it gets pretty repetative, best in small doses.
if evil is your thing you can do some truly heinous things in that game..
I loved the art and story in that game, so influential. That was the thing that kept me going to the end. I loved seeing the new costume and art in the next level. That story, man was brilliant.
Has the look of a game that'll be totally amazing / spaffed over by the critics / bought by 17 people.
