Newcastle aren't going to go down, are they?
Sunderland v Reading tonight zzzzz
The Chamakh & Gervinho All Stars vs Bradford as well...possible upset? Don't really care.
When do we get to start wildly speculating about the January transfer window? If only someone on here had incredible amounts of insider knowledge.
-
I think I'd be too scared of Falcao being a £50m flop
to be particularly excited about him signing.
Actually nah, I'd wet the bed. Ain't gonna happen though, certainly not in January.
-
trying not to entertain the possibility that we won't get thrashed
it'll just be great to see valley parade full again. the club's had a pretty awful 10 years and it's just good that something good's happening. i'm really excited
-
that didn't work out very well
i can remember him scoring against us for chelsea more vividly than anything he did in a bradford shirt
-
I've said it before
but if Arsenal don't win the League Cup this year they should be disbanded.
-
Fun Fact (which I think I've wheeled out a million times before)
Who was the last manager to win the League Cup and still be in their job at the end of the year? Fergie, 2006
-
I care.
I think Whinger does too. Should be reasonably strong side i hope.

In fact we've won it twice since then
Rubbish fact of the day.
-
RH's misquoted as usual I suppose
the only manager to win at and etc.

Gotta let the Man Utd fans have their little cry
I can't be expected to check every half-remembered fact I read about.
-
Ooh, GazBaz misconduct
Today has been REALLY exciting.
-
Foreign players to be given lessons on how to not be a racist.
Hmmm, I can think of a few reasons why that isn't necessarily a good or appropriate idea ...
-
Same charge as Mikel and APPARENTLY
he would have been in line for a huge ban had it not been for the specifics, which some on the disciplinary panel wanted to dish out anyway. Seeing as Barry obviously is gonna be found guilty, it should be interesting to see what the huge ban for swearing at officials actually is.

A woman I work with's housemate is a teacher at some fancy school out in West London
The Beckhams are there today with one of their unfortunately named brood. So, Beckham to QPR then.
-
They already own a massive house in Chelsea.
Maybe David's going to China or Dubai or summat and the wife and kids don't fancy it? I'd wager that's more likely.
-
I just wanted to get involved in transfer gossip bullshit for once. However erroneously.
-
Come on
Fergie should have been sacked in 2008

Zlatan's on ESPN...
being all overrated again.

Remember the name time
Andreas Christensen. 16 year old Chelsea centre back who was just named the Danish FA's under 17 player of the year.
-
Yeah.
I'm sure that Chelsea youth player has a great career ahead of him.
-
absolutely no good can come from playing the first team tonight
kind of annoyed
-
Darren Bent
going to Aston Villa cos he wanted to play in Europe :(
Should've stayed here. We're beating Reading. Europe beckons
-
I really, really enjoy watching Gervinho.
Really doesn't matter if he does something good now, or that he's had isolated moments of good in the past.
Nestor this'd this -
you can get 11/2 on Arsenal -1.
thank me later.

Aww, you shithouses
No-one wanted that

win/win, innit.
Arsenal fail to beat League 2 Bradford - funny.
Arsenal win, still_here gets giddy again - funny.
-
due to an injury, right?
they seem to have done ok since
-
After the default of gervinho being the worst player on any football pitch
I think wilshere in particular was shocking tonight - bossed by league two midfielders. so many wasteful passes
-
Got 8/11 on Arsenal to qualify in any way on the hour mark
Like printing money, shirley?
-
Where do you think he'll be playing next season...
when this 75% tax rate comes into full swing?
Running out of options, really, isn't he, despite being a brilliant player.
Personally, i think if he came to England he'd be the Premier League's best player by an absolute mile. No idea why Man City have never bit, considering they could probably get him for less than they've been offered for Balotelli (€40m, from PSG, allegedly).
-
Don't know whether it's a measure of how well Norwich have been doing
or how far Villa have fallen that the result at Carrow Road is a surprising one.
-
Is that what's happening there, idk?
I was under the impression it was because they'd made a couple of dodgy summer signings and Mankini was having tactical brainfarts defensively? Are they having trouble off the pitch with Aguero, Dzeko and Tevez (again?), not heard owt.
-
Both
Plus it's the League Cup (ANYTHING CAN HAPPEN etc)
blimeycharlie this'd this -
Unlucky, Bradford.
A truly brilliant effort, not only to get a lead and protect it for almost 90 minutes, but also to stem the Arsenal flow once they did equalise. They're not gonna beat a team like Arsenal on penners, though, let's be honest.
-
i heard that he negotiated his contract
to be a certain amount AFTER tax
-
I heard something similar about his Milan contract.
That would mean PSG will be paying him over £40m a year as of next season, though.
Even with their billikings, not going to happen, surely?
-
hahaha
we're so, so shit
-
Seen quite a few teams take a 2-0 lead in penner shoot-outs and lose.
Would still fancy Arsenal, tbh.
-
Oooooof.
Arsenal out.
Well done Bradford!

glorious
congrats to bradford. shrewbie will be delighted!

AMAZING :'D
Only caught the penos, but that is insane, well done Bradford!
Oh yeah, Wenger out etc.
-
Dzeko is constantly whining
about being used as a sub, despite the fact he's been given endless starts, is always shit, and is basically custom built to be a last-fifteen-minutes-attacking-substitution. Those chippy little post-match interviews he does don't do him any credit. Tevez has kept his head down recently to his credit, but is beginning to look disinterested in games not involving Ferguson and basically cannot ever be trusted thanks to who he is owned by, as you know. Aguero is fine as far as I'm aware, but he will always have half an eye on his eventual return to Spain. Balotelli is Balotelli.
This is pretty much par for the course for a top side, but put on top a couple of dodgy summer signings and Mancini having tactical brainfarts and the situation is uneasy. Bringing Ibrahimovich into this even in exchange for Balotelli (I'd love to know where you pulled 40 million from by the way- directly after the World Cup maybe, certainly not now or ever) would be nightmarish, a return to the Maddy and Bellend days.
-
If Leeds can beat Chelsea now...
the semis and final could be really, really triffic.
-
Chin up, Arsenal
Still on for the treble

he's the white Drogba who doesn't fall down

I've always got the impression you don't enjoy supporting Man City.
Why not consider following the EDS instead, or joining me on my non-league groundhop for 13/14?
-
Gunnersaurus. Weird Indian fans. Gigantic jackets. still_here....
your boys took one hell of a beating
-
Because it doesn't dominate my life to the same extent it does yours,
it's fun to have a bit of a moan now and then, and City do occasionally play some aesthetically pleasing football.
-
* did, mate
play the game, ffs!
-
the trouble with Arsenal is they try to walk it in.
i think they could do with a commanding centre-half and a ball-winner in midfield.
-
cant even fathom how incredible a bradford - leeds final would be
hope to god chelsea get taken to extra time and penalties however many miles away they are, and are even more tired / injured / forced to rest their best players
we might just be able to do it if they're lacking mata and hazard
-
Excellent.
Disband them!
-
sometimes, when i'm a bit down about football
arsenal always seem to manage to pick me up :D
-
Lets all laugh at Arsenalol!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
-
oh Arsenal...
speaking of Arsenal, the papers seem pretty certain United are first in line to pinch Walcott for £8 million.
why would we do that?
-
absolute rubbish
if he was happy to play as a winger, that would be a bargain, but Wenger isn't about to go and sell us another of his key players.
-
Nigel de Jong rupturred his achilles on the weekend and will be out for at least six months...
the Daily Express covered it here (heh) - http://www.express.co.uk/posts/view/364264/Move-back-to-Manchester-City-could-be-on-cards-for-Nigel-de-Jong
Sort of sums up just how much research tabloid journos do.
Reminds me of last season when a club, think it was Arsenal, were being linked with a defender from Serie A. Talks had apparently already taken place between Arsenal and Inter Milan and terms had been agreed. The first comment underneath the article simply read "Not only did this player leave Inter Milan permanently last year, he also currently has a broken leg".
Don't know how they get away with it, really.
-
I've...put this in the wrong thread, haven't i.
Bugger.
Still...ARSENAL!

Newcastle won't go down
If Sunderland don't win, they are. Their next 6 fixtures are horrid bar Reading & Southampton, they've got to win those games.
Quite looking forward to Bradford/Arsenal, but more so because of the Tuesday Club podcast I listen to probably.
Falcao going to Chelsea :(
