Christmas Markets
What are your favourites? I really want to check out the London Design fair in Shoreditch. Not technically a Christmas market, but you can buy things at it and it's in December, so close enough.
The Weinachtsmarkt on Southbank can fuck the fuck off though. It's so cheesy and everything's overpriced.
We're having one today in Victoria Park Village. It's sort of spread across the village so in our shop (Its a children's bookshop) we'll have authors signing things and in the Deli they'll have mulled wine and mince pies. It should be quite good, although I do get sick of middle class mothers coming in and protesting that their child's reading age is far, far above that of their actual age. 'But he must be a good reader, he's middle class'. Bah. ANYWAY you're all welcome if you want to come and say hi/have a glass of wine/meet a children's book author. This is totally not a jag. (It's from 4 pm) (:
