Cycling Thread #4,213 (no Dark Knight Spoilers pls)
Wondering if you can help me with a wee cycling conundrum.
The Facts
-A large very busy roundabout on my route home.
-I need to go straight over.
-To go straight over you need to be in the RIGHT hand lane.
-Although the road is single lane, the traffic tends to split into two lanes up to half a mile before the actual roundabout, so it's quite tight.
-There is more traffic turning left so this queue is generally longer.
-Cars can be right dicks on this roundabout.
Currently I am getting into the right hand lane and queueing like a (fucking) car. I feel like a right dick doing this. Should I :-
A) Move down the middle of the two lanes of traffic and somehow push in to the front.
B) Move down the OUTSIDE of the two lanes of traffic. This means going on the wrong side of the road a bit but should be ok. But I don't really know what to do when I get to the roundabout.
C) Well the only other option is a pavement job and that's for babies.
D) Or drive i guess like I did today.
E) Bus is pretty much door to door too.
I think I've got more of these.
