Thursday Gaming Thread
Well the biggest news for me this week was that Ueda has left Sony to go freelance as has the Producer on The Last Guardian. For anyone who played Ico or Shadow of the Colossus, this is concerning news. Sony and the aforementioned say everything is still on track BUT it seems like it can only be bad news. It was the reason I was going to buy a PS3 one day. Maybe I never will now...
A South Park RPG gets announced. I want it to be awesome. It won't be though.
Mario Kart 7 gets great reviews, but it was developed by Retro Studios so we should expect nothing less. The world prays they're working on a Wii U Starfox or F-Zero as we speak...
Skyrim gets lots of patches to sort out the bugs, with more coming. Zelda too has a very un-Nintendo flaw in it which can see your games end nastily.
Talking of which, I finally ordered Zelda: SSword and DKCReturns this week as I had a voucher to use up. Pretty excited about both.
And looking at my Wii collection now, it's a pretty healthy set of games. I still need to buy NSMBWii, RE:DChronicles, Rayman Origins, De Blob 2, Boom blox, Kirbys Epic yarn, Little Kings Story and Metroid: Other M for the platform amongst others too.
I've been ploughing on with Xenoblade Chronicles, which at long last got confirmed for the States this week. 50 hours in now and at a point where I can put the quests to one side and get some serious story out of the way as it's hotting up nicely.
Been enjoying help the optional side missions to rebuild the human colonies, though the 'go talk to someone at X, traipse around looking for X to randomly appear and then go back to talk to X who has inexplicably fucked off' missions are testing my patience severely.
Combat all clicked into place this month though and it's now an utter joy. I doubt I could ever sit through a 12 minute FF boss cut scene ever again.
What have you been playing?

SUB-THREAD
What game would you most like to see a film made of?
Ico could make a spectacular Manga title. I'd also love to see G-Police on a big screen. It'd never happen though.
