Remembering board games for nostalgia/hated purposes
My grandparents were the sort of people who Liked Board Games, and this has been distilled into a secret obsession of mine too. They had a ton of obscure ones, which I've now inherited.
Who could forget:
Sorry - a game that caused fist fights with simple rolls of the dice.
Obviously Monopoly, NOT some obscure version though. LOL FAMILY GUY VERSIO- no.
No one enjoying Cluedo but playing through to the end anyway.
Buccaneer - awesome naval battle/smuggling/treasure hunting game.
Scoop - Can you get all the stories for a newspaper first? Probably not, and you'll be bored.

^ best one of all.
And the worst was Squatter, a boardgame about NZ sheep farming.
